Who are you running for? — Join in the fight against breast cancer by running a full or half marathon through Marathon for the Cure™
Rally for the Cure — Golf, tennis, dinner events and so much more...
A brand to trust — We are honored that Susan G. Komen for the Cure® ranked number one in a recent Harris Interactive poll as the most valued non-profit brand and the charity people are most likely to donate money to. Additionally, Komen for the Cure ranked second on the 2010 list of the nation’s most trusted charities. Thank you to all who help us daily in the fight to end breast cancer!
Participating in the Susan G. Komen Maine Race for the Cure® with a team strengthens the impact you have on the global movement to end breast cancer. Register as part of a Team and bring your family, friends or co-workers together to motivate and inspire each other as we race for the cures! You can also form a team in tribute to someone you know who has been touched by breast cancer. Together, you make an even greater impact than you could alone!
The Team Captain must register first and create the team before team member can join the team. A team is comprised of 10 or more individuals. Teammates can be friends, family members, co-workers, or anyone else who would like to join.
Once registered, Teams automatically receive their own personal fundraising and tribute/memorial web page. Team Captains can personalize the team web page with photos, videos to pay tribute to the individuals you are racing - or walking for. From the Team Captain Participant Center, you can email potential team members, fundraise for the team and other activities.
Team members also have their own individual fundraising pages that automatically tie back to the Team page. This is a fun way to work together, while still highlighting the accomplishments of your top fundraising members. Many teams find that a little friendly competition among team members is a great way to increase fundraising for your team as a whole.
Use this checklist as a reminder of your next steps and to help you keep track of your progress.
